Bowling average

From CruxPedia

In cricket, the bowling average is a statistic used to evaluate the performance of a bowler. It is calculated by dividing the total number of runs conceded by the number of wickets taken:

Bowling Average=Wickets Taken/Runs Conceded

A lower bowling average generally indicates better performance, as it means the bowler concedes fewer runs per wicket. It is a key metric in assessing the effectiveness and consistency of a bowler across formats such as Test, One Day Internationals (ODIs), and Twenty20 (T20) cricket.
